Hello, I have a landscape oil painting by this artist "Adam Chappell" also. Is your's signed? What size is it? The one I own is alot different it has mostly brown tones, it is a winter scene. It measures appro. 21" x 24" and is an oil on canvas. If you have found any info. you'd like to share, I would certainly appreciate it. Thank You, Tammie

I have an Adam Chappell landscape oil painting, too. I received it as a gift from a student after my student teaching experience in a middle school in northwest Indiana in the Fall of 1981. If I recall correctly, she told me the painter was a relative. The painting is mounted on the frame similar to the one here. It is special to me as I have kept it displayed all of these years. After recently repainting the interior of our home and hanging the painting once again, questions about the artist resurfaced. I wish I knew more.

My wife, who is an arts major (painting in oils) just purchased an Adam Chappell painting, same signature, at our church boutique. It is VERY similar to this one, however it is not 90x60, but rather 60x90 or upended from this one. Same basic dimension, same mountain background, same trees left and right. Different colors and no islets meeting in the center of the river. Yours appears to be at dusk while ours is brighter. We live in Kansas City MO so his paintings have been traveling a bit.
